That’s why we’re thrilled to be named a recipient of a 2018 Business Excellence Award from the Canton Regional Chamber of Commerce.
Annually presented to a select few local businesses, the Business Excellence Awards “salute companies that have distinguished themselves with longevity, growth, innovation, and consistent involvement in the community.” As proud natives of Canton, we’re pleased to be recognized for our commitment to fostering a competitive business climate, transforming the world of heavy industry, and creating opportunities for our employees and the local community.
Laying a Strong Foundation
A Business Excellence Award is indeed a great honor for any Canton-based company. These prestigious awards are given to true leaders in the community to acknowledge their efforts to help everybody in the Canton community thrive.
We’re humbled to be regarded by the Chamber of Commerce as a backbone of the local economy and a pillar of the community, and we will proudly accept the award at the Chamber’s Business Excellence Awards ceremony at the Kent State University Stark Conference Center on May 1.
When Midwest first opened in 1975, we set out to build a company that would represent Canton’s values, strengthen its economic foundation, and encourage development throughout Northeast Ohio. In the four decades since then, we’ve become a leader in industrial supply technology, serving an array of clients — from major mining conglomerates to small villages and townships — with internationally recognized, patented dust control, soil stabilization, fines preservation, rail lubrication, and anti-icing & deicing products and managed services,
Of all our accomplishments, however, we’re proudest of the impact we’ve had on our hometown. Over the years, we’ve made it a priority to give back to Canton however we can. From our emergence as a major employer of local talent to our efforts to help local charities serve the less fortunate, we’ve worked hard to make Canton a place where everybody can succeed. We look forward to doing so for the next 40 years (and beyond)!
