Tower Foundation Stabilized From Strong Desert Winds

Tower Foundation Stabilized From Strong Desert Winds

In Soil Stabilization, Soil-Sement®, Surface Management by Steve Vitale

Background.

Intense UV rays from the sun, arid hot temperatures and harsh sandy winds are all part of nature in any desert locations.

Problem.

Strong desert wind and rain caused a tower’s foundation to erode and become unstable making it a safety hazard.

Solution.

Midwest’s Soil-Sement® over came these dust problems with reduced rutting, sinking and overall road surface deterioration while increasing load-bearing strength of the sandy soil. It gave the foundation maximum weatherability to rain, wind and ultraviolet light. Soil-Sement was ecologically safe, did not leach or wash away, did not track or get carried away on tires.
