Background.

Dust and rough roads riddled with potholes were problematic for a limestone quarry and cement company in Canada.

Problem.

The product the company was using to mitigate the problems washed off its roads during heavy rains, entering streams flowing through neighboring properties and on into one of the Great Lakes. Not only was the product doing a less than optimal job eliminating the root problems, its high BOD also made the run-off a threat to local waters.

Solution.

Midwest’s Soil-Sement® Road Maintenance Program delivered a dust-free, smooth road surface, eliminated surface problems and environmental risks, and created a road surface that withstands haul-road truck and plant traffic.
